We have a number of Projects which run under the

Girvan Youth Trust umbrella.

Hand in Hand – Hand in Hand launched in 2010 to address the Social Inequalities for local young people with Additional Support Needs. The aim of the project is to promote social inclusion, this is achieved by the support of our peer buddies from the community who provide encouragement and engage with our young people

Life’s A Journey – The ‘Life’s a Journey’ programme has been developed to work with local young people aged 12-25 years, linking together experiential learning, personal development and volunteering opportunities both within Z1 Youth Bar and Girvan Youth Trust and also in the wider community.

StreetLights  – StreetLights is our Detached Youth Work Project which launched in February 2019.  StreetLights has been established to engage and provide support, information and advice to local young people who may not participate in other youth work services/agencies. 

DFN Project Search – DFN Project SEARCH is a transition programme which provides employability training and education for individuals with disabilities. The programme promotes collaborative and partnership working amongst partners and occurs on-site at a business which has the commitment to support people with learning disabilities and/or autism in the workplace.

GYT Thrift Shop – The Thrift shops purpose is to help raise funds to put back into our projects and activities that allow us to continue helping and supporting young people in our local community and surrounding areas.

S1 Club – The S1 Youth Club is a partnership group between South Ayrshire Council CLD, GYT and Community Safety aims to provide young people with a safe and comfortable environment in which they can challenge themselves and progress to new levels. We also aim to provide young people with opportunities to learn new skills, gain new insights and experience, build and maintain positive relationships with friends and youth workers and to increase confidence, resilience and self-esteem 

Music on the Prom –  Music on the Prom Girvan is a fantastic, fun filled day for all the family, where people come to dance on the Prom to music from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s from our ‘GYT Travelling JukeBox’ or our ‘Live Acts’.
