Meet the Staff Team of Girvan Youth Trust who are responsible for the day to day running of the Project and the delivery, planning and co-ordination of our Youth Work Programmes.

Erin Murdoch

Life's A Journey Project Co-ordinator.

Erin manages all areas of the Life's A Journey Programme including Work with Schools. She also is Girvan Youth Trust's PVG Co-ordinator alongside Gail and leads on the recruitment of both adult and youth volunteers.

Gail McMaster

Z1 Project Co-ordinator.

Gail is in charge of all things to do with Z1 Youth Bar - from paying the bills to making sure the centre is fit for purpose. Gail also works with Lucy & William to support Z1 Users Group. She also is Girvan Youth Trust's PVG Co-ordinator with Erin and is also our Information Officer.

Yvonne McGill

Hand in Hand Project Co-ordinator.

Yvonne manages and develops the “Hand in Hand” Inclusion Project for young people aged 6-24 years who have Additional Support Needs. She also works in partnership with Ayrshire College and Culzean Castle & Country Park to co-ordinate and manage Project SEARCH in South Ayrshire, an employment scheme for young people with a Learning Disability or Autistic Spectrum Disorder. She is also one of GYT's Designated Child Protection Officers along with Lucy.”

Lucy O'Donnell

StreetLights Project Co-ordinator..

Lucy's primary role with Girvan Youth Trust is to manage and deliver 'StreetLights' Detached Youth Work Project. She also delivers and supports of our 'Listening Fund' Project which includes Youth Strategy Work, Working with Z1 Users Group and lots more exciting opportunities! Lucy is also GYT's other Designated Child Protection Officer along with Yvonne.”

Sonia Connell

Project Search Job Coach.

Sonia is the Job Coach at Project SEARCH South Ayrshire, she provides personalised, in work support using systematic learning and coaching strategies to help the interns gain and develop employability skills in a variety of workplaces around Culzean Castle and Country Park.

Rachael McMillan

Community Links Worker.

Rachael works within our Hand in Hand Project and her role is to help young people with Additional Support Needs to develop their skills working on a one to one basis, while providing support and guidance to families and carers.

Heather McCafferty

Youth Worker.

My role is to support the young volunteers who make up the Participatory Budgeting group. I am their link to other partner agencies and I also source training to help them further their knowledge of the Participatory Budgeting process. You’re most like to see me in Z1 Youth Bar or in the local community.

William McEwan

Youth Worker.

My roles include supporting young volunteers in their placements, delivering Youth Awards with young people and planning and delivering the Transition Programme with local Primary and Secondary schools. You’re most likely to see me at various groups in Z1 Youth Bar, in Girvan Academy and out in the local community.
